The Newcastle String Quartet was created in order to provide the highest quality music for those special occasions in peoples lives which can be enhanced and made extra special by the presence of music - especially live music.
These players are highly qualified experienced professionals who dedicate themselves to producing the best possible musical performances for each and every event.
Annamaria, who leads the quartet, worked for many years as a professional violinist playing with many famous orchestras such as The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Northern Sinfonia. Her partner David Haslam is a professional conductor, composer, arranger and flautist. In addition to producing music for TV and radio he has worked with many orchestras such as The Scottish National Symphony Orchestra, The BBC Northern Symphony Ochestra, The Royal Northern Sinfonia, The Royal Liverpool Symphony Orchestra, St Martin in the Fields and The London Symphony Ochestra. Annamaria and David insist on the highest standards and only employ highly respected first class musicians.
