Hire a Band West Midlands is well and truly up and running; we seem to have launched just as lots of couples are starting to plan for their wedding entertainment and the enquiries are coming in like confetti on the big day. Trying to balance the grooms request for indie style rock with the bride’s desire for Beyoncé is always going to be challenging but that’s part of the enjoyment. It’s been good to get a good feel for the range and considerable talent of the bands that cover the West Midlands area so that we can find the perfect match for all our perfectly matched couples.
The West Midlands has a fantastically diverse choice of venues to match the brilliantly diverse people who live in the region. We have luxurious country houses in the rolling hills of South Warwickshire and the Cotswolds to fashionable city hotels in Birmingham. It would be tricky to find a more varied patch making it a brilliant area for Hire a Band to operate in. We undoubtedly have one of the biggest range of bands on our books and are keen to embrace the challenge of keeping our acts fresh and versatile. Mumford and Sons style folk pop seem to be very much in demand and I’ve been chatting to a few of our bands about including this type of genre in their set. That said I am loving the love for funk and disco that seem to be coming through, it’s important to have a few guilty pleasures in the songs requested after all.
Wedding planning can be fraught with decisions; who really likes fruit cake and do we have to invite second cousin Ann who we’ve never met?
