Get to Know the Best Bands in Scotland - Chart Society
We love having Chart Society, one of Scotland's best wedding and events bands, on the roster. They make us look cool and hip. So we wondered if they actually enjoyed playing at weddings or if it was just another gig to them. It turns out they thoroughly enjoy performing their red hot set list at weddings which is just as well as they play at so many!
Here are there responses to our questions;
What’s the furthest you’ve travelled to play a gig?
Gisborough Hall Hotel, Whitby Road, Guisborough, UK
Which is your favourite wedding venue to perform in?
Balbirnie House
Which is your favourite non-wedding venue to perform in?
King Tuts Wawah Hut
Which is your favourite song to perform?
Rock DJ - Robbie Williams
Which is the most popular first dance you’re asked to play?
Baby I’m Yours - Arctic Monkeys
What’s the best thing about playing at a wedding?
We love seeing everyone on the dancefloor partying and letting their hair down. Getting to create such a great entertaining atmosphere on a regular basis is a great feeling and we’re proud to call this our job.
What’s the worst thing about playing at a wedding?
Drunk people disrespecting the band’s equipment and being a general nuisance.
Apart from booking your band, what’s the best bit of advice you could give a couple planning their wedding?
Make sure every decision you make is for you and your partner, not one else. It’s your guys day so do what you feel works for you.
The lads in the band are some of the most sought after session musicians in the country. They really are a supergroup of respected performers. They bring class, energy and a great atmosphere to every event they play at.
