Edinburgh Castle Ceilidh Band perform across the UK and overseas but are based in the home of ceilidh music, Scotland's capital city, Edinburgh.
The line up of the band is unique, with four musicians providing the music on fiddle, accordion, acoustic guitar and bass guitar. The fifth member of the band, the legendary Cath Coutts acts as the bands caller. Cath is on the dance floor with the dancers all night explaining or "calling" the dances for the less experienced or the rusty. You'll never have to scratch your head wondering how to do Strip the Willow with this band.
Traditional ceilidh at its very best is the motto of this outstanding and internationally respected ceilidh band. They're always busy but that shouldn't stop you trying to book them. You'll be glad you did.

We hired Edinburgh Castle Ceilidh Band to play at our wedding reception. They are lovely people to deal with and very accommodating. The musicianship is very high and they certainly know how to fill a dance floor. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
Hireaband are also great to deal with and made the whole process very easy. I would happily use them again.
I just wanted to say HUGE thank you for playing at the reception. All delegates had a great time and the client was very happy and even mentioned that is was the first reception they had organised that delegates danced, so well done. We look forward to working with you in the future.
You had us all up dancing, stripping the willow like there was no tomorrow. It was a great occasion and hugely enjoyable.
