The band were superb! The dance floor was never empty and the choice of music to select before hand was fantastic.

I cannot thank the band enough for their spectacular contribution to my parents 40th wedding anniversary celebration. Velvet were an outstanding band to have at our wedding. They brought enthusiasm, excellent performance and brilliant music to the evening, and made the day finish perfectly. The musicians all played brilliantly and the singer had a wonderful voice which seemed to work well with any song she sang.. They were also very professional and personable to work with. All of our guests praised their performance and asked us where we found such a great band. They were the best band we could find on the website - their abilities were clearly superior to the other options.

From the minute we booked them until the last song at our wedding, Velvet were incredible. They were excellent value for money but in hindsight we would have been prepared to have paid 10 times more for them because they were so good. I could not recommend Velvet highly enough – we were aware that booking a band without seeing them play live was risky but this band more than lived up to our expectations and made our wedding reception so much fun. We had lots of compliments from our guests and loved the fact that we were able to pick our favourite songs which were performed so wonderfully by the band. Paul was so friendly and easy to work with in the lead up to our wedding which also really helped. Our only regret was that we had the band for a 2 hour set and not a 3 hour set!

We could not have been more pleased with our decision to choose Velvet for our wedding. They have been extremely professional from the initial meeting to the performance on the night. From the initial phone-call to the ongoing emails, we have been incredibly impressed with their professional yet friendly approach. On the day they were well organised and enthusiastic - they even counselled me back into doing my first dance when I had 'cold feet'! Velvet are a quality (not tacky) band with an impressive repertoire and can confidently play a vast range of music genres. Amy has a fantastic voice and the musicians are extremely talented - they even learnt a song for us with three weeks notice! They are fantastic for a function such as a wedding as they appeal to all ages and tastes.Our guests have all said how fantastic they were during the acoustic set and the main performance - we didn't want them to stop playing (we did get an encore)! If we ever need a band in future, we'll be picking up the phone to Velvet!!

People were absolutely blown away by you and I have to admit I'm a bit annoyed I couldn't just relax and enjoy all the songs we'd chosen - I kept hearing them and thinking 'I love that one!' then someone would interrupt me! But our guests had a fantastic time dancing away to your music and people have said to me that they'll never have a party without a band again.
I was particularly struck by how perfect the jazz was when I walked in, it really was exactly what I wanted and set the tone so beautifully.

Velvet added a great deal to our wedding. They were easy to deal with, taking away any hassle or stress we felt in the lead up to the big day, they had a good variety of songs from which we were able to choose exactly what we wanted. They did not need any hand holding at all on the day which allowed us to enjoy our reception without having to worry about them. They are highly professional. Their performance was excellent, as mentioned by a number of the guests. They brought energy and a sense of fun to the whole thing. The highest praise I can give them is that the dance floor was packed throughout, which is exactly what we had wanted. I would highly recommend them.

The whole process was smooth and hassle free from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. You knocked our socks off at the wedding with the acoustic set during the reception drinks and then the 5-piece band in the evening.

Thanks for performing at my birthday party last week, you guys were totally awesome. As you were aware, everybody was up dancing for so much of the night, a few embarrassed friends are still recovering from their behaviour! I had such a fantastic night and it would never have been the same without your band playing. So many friends have asked about you, more business I’m sure.

I am well overdue thanking you and the rest of the band for the amazing performance you gave at our wedding (8th August). Having watched clips on YouTube, we knew you'd be great, but you exceeded all our expectations and we were absolutely thrilled! Thank you so much - the evening entertainment was an important part of the day for us, and you were so professional and helpful in the run up, then fantastic on the night itself. We have had lots of comments from guests about how good you were, and you made sure we had a brilliant time. I know there were some tracks you didn't get to play due to the groundsman's strict 11pm curfew and I'm sure that was frustrating for you, but we were delighted with how everything went. I have already recommended you to another friend who is getting married next year

They were there early, worked furiously for 1.5 hours solid and were set up on time. Their organisation from start to finish was amazing, really easy to speak to, and completely professional. So friendly. Paul, made me confident that everything would be as I hoped it would. So professional. On the night the guys looked the part - everyone commented on that.

Paul was always available by phone and email. I never had to wait more than a day or two for a reply to an email (and we sent quite a few!). We got quite involved in song selection, and had some precise requirements for timing and even they type of music we wanted between sets, and in the DJ set at the end. Paul just catered to everything we asked for, and just helped us understand how the night would go. Paul, is definitely someone I could work with again. Open to any suggestion, but used his vast experience to ensure Jane & I didn't make unrealistic requests.

Everyone came up to me asking how we managed to get such an amazing band. Amazing doesn't even come close to describing how good they were. Way beyond my expectations.
Jane and I were so proud of the entertainment we put on for our guests. Amy's vocals were absolutely out of this world. The rest of the guys are so talented, I can't believe now that we could afford them! They were so amazing and made the night for everyone there.

They performed (at our request) "Love is an open door" from Frozen. They performed it with so much enthusiasm, it was a really special moment for us. We really want to thank them for that.

Throughout the whole night, they all really looked like they were enjoying themselves. This was one of the reasons we wanted to book Velvet, as we didn't want a band who looked like they took things too seriously. They were having fun, and that meant a lot to us.

In the run up to the night, Paul always referred to the night as a "show". I thought it an odd term to use, but I get it now. They really did put on a show, a world class show. This wasn't just a few guys singing a few songs. This was rehearsed, organised, and superbly planned out showmanship

The 7 piece band just sounded incredible. Not too loud, not too quiet. Just right for people on the dance floor, but also great for those at the back of the room just chatting.
I'd love to re-book, and I would recommend them to anyone. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Velvet had enquiries on the back of that event, our guests had an amazing night, Jane & I had the night of our lives. I'd be happy to speak to anyone considering this band

The band on Saturday were excellent. They were polite and well mannered when they arrived. Their set up was seamless and their custom made 70's dj set was great. The music itself was exactly what we wanted, lively expertly executed and fun. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

They were absolutely fantastic. The guests really loved the music and the dance floor was always full to capacity.
I was especially impressed that they specifically practised a song that is my disabled daughter’s favourite and not normally in their repertoire and it made her so happy. They were worth every penny – they really made the party go with a swing.

Very polite and looked the part! Brilliant performance and lots of great comments made by guests. Would definitely use them again, and we have been asked by many guests to use them again next year at the next conference. They had people on their feet within less than a minute of playing! Britain's got talent! That was one of many positive comments we received about Velvet after our wedding on 6 June 2015. It was one hell of a party with this band. They brought an unexpected level of professionalism and quality. Paul the band manager was incredibly accommodating to all of our needs. The band was fantastic! We created a festival and they came to perform as our headliner. Beautiful lead singer Amy stole the show with her looks and amazing voice. Many guests stayed and watched as she helped her colleagues disconnect cables after their performance. I have to thank the whole band for allowing us (bride and groom) and guests (one of which grabbed the mic at one stage) go completely crazy during the party. Their performance of 'waiting all night' by Rudimental is fast becoming the theme song of our wedding! I could keep going on for a while, but I think you got the gist: 5 out of 5 for sure.

I have put on quite a few events of this kind with different acts and may I say that you demonstrated exemplary standards of management and performance when working together on this occasion.This consistency and reliability has made my job of putting on the show a whole lot easier.
