Band were amazing. Kept the dance floor full all night. So many good comments about them from all the quests. Really can’t complain about their performance. They were amazing and would recommend them 100%.

The Shakers put on a great performance that was high energy for the entire 4 hours and kept our smaller group dancing all night!

We had the best night with the Shakers, everyone commented on how good the band was and the fact that there was a good balance in that it wasn’t too loud for people to speak but they kept the dance floor packed all night. Would recommend to anyone looking for a band for any occasion.

The Shakers were fantastic performers they accommodated all our requests before the ceremony through Jamie, on the day when the band rolled up they went to set up and Adam came our to chat with us about everything we had discussed and picked for them to perform including how they'd work the Ceilidh in and the father daughter dance.

As performers they braved the heat in the hall after one of the hottest days of the year hadn't let up leading people to take regular breaks outside but the music and the bands performance kept pulling people back in from airing themselves all while one of the band members appeared quite pregnant and still performed wonderfully. The saxophonist did a great job getting people involved during parts of the performance. Adam did a perfect job talking to the crowd and calling the Ceilidh even with some keen but confused guests.

Start to finish, The Shakers were our dream wedding band we’d always wanted. The quality of the music on the night was INCREDIBLE. The 3 vocalists, operated in their range and harmonised beautifully across the set list with incredibly talented instrumentalists. In particular, the musician with the saxophone and various brass instruments was a huge hit with our guests on the night.

The band learned a track for us and they even allowed us to join them after a rehearsal to help us pick our first dance song by playing some of our top choices live, so we could choose what felt right for us.

Lastly, they were lovely people. Jamie super organised; Adam putting us at ease before the start on timings and co-ordination of the first dance and ceilidh.

If you’re lucky enough that The Shakers are free on your wedding night, don’t delay in choosing them - you won’t regret it!

The Shakers were amazing! We absolutely loved having them at our wedding. They really made our night. All our guests complimented them too - in particular the sax player who made his way on to the dancefloor! We can't recommend them enough.

From the very first contact with Hireaband the service from the staff was excellent. They were so friendly and professional and made the booking process so simple. Our wedding was postponed three times and by the time our fourth date was set the original band were no longer playing together but the team at Hireaband made the change to a different band so simple and straightforward.
Our band on the day were The Shakers, absolutely fantastic, they turned up and started spot on time and had the dance floor full all night from the word go. Beautiful male and female vocals, saxophone player came down on to dance floor a few times, chelidh session with full instructions, fantastic play list from first dance to last. Just amazing and would highly recommend.

What can we say about this band - outstanding from start to finish. They made the day even more special with the set they put together. Incredibly talented artists and kept the dance floor busy all night. We requested both a ceilidh and a covers set, both were equally as good. We had also asked them to play a Frightened Rabbit song for us, which they absolutely nailed! The 'dance-off' portion of the set was also great fun. To top it off they all seemed really nice people. The Shakers were fantastic - thoroughly enjoyed the set and the flow they created. The dancefloor was always busy and many of our guests commented on how great they were. They split the ceilidh section in two - doing one half of the dances early, and before our photographers left, and the second part later in the evening. That was the band's idea and we appreciated them suggesting that to us.

The whole experience from start to finish with Hireaband and The Shakers was excellent. Having to move our wedding dates on three occasions hireaband did an excellent job keeping us informed and accomodating our requests each time with no issues. The band were very easy to communicate with selecting the songs we liked from their setlist and also asking for them to learn one for our first dance which wasn't on the setlist. This was no issues for Jamie and the shakers.

On the actual day they arrived early and set up very discretely and Adam tied in with us to run through the plan. First dance, Ceilidh and then the setlist. They did an amazing job of getting everyone up on the floor and managing the Ceilidh for a group who didn't really know what they were doing. Evening flowed so well couldn't have gone any better. Adam recommend playing moves by jagger which wasn't on our selection of songs but ended up being one of the highlights of the night with the saxophone player performing an amazing solo on the dance floor to the bride.

Had a great time and would highly recommend both The Shakers and Hireaband to anyone. Thanks again.

There are not enough words for how unreal The Shakers were from start to finish. From when we booked them to when they left our venue they were amazing. With all restrictions the band could not have been more accommodating but you did not even notice that they were in place. All of the band made our night and our guests. Just amazing!

Booking the band for the wedding was a lot easier task than I had anticipated, the Hireaband team are very helpful, friendly and easy to deal with. They really helped in making it a simple straightforward process.

As for the band, The Shakers - absolutely tremendous. Bit of a mixed crowd at our wedding but the bands excellently diverse repertoire from oldies to modern pleased everyone! Having 3 different singers in the band really helps mix it up throughout the night and who doesn't love a live sax?!
Lots of guests hardly left the dance floor all night! My legs were sore for a few days from all the dancing I was doing, didn't sit down all night!

What can I say? The music that you and the band provided on Friday evening at our wedding was just fantastic. The set flowed perfectly and the "look of love" was a super first song. There are versions of Young at Heart all over Facebook and the atmosphere you created in the room was electric. We are still buzzing. The Shakers were AMAZING!!

After a long time listening to other options I knew I wanted this band. They covered our requests, which were varied! They called the dances and walked our guests (including some American and Canadian visitors) through the ceilidh section. The band were professional throughout and also a lot of fun! With seven musicians in the band, as we added the ceilidh option and had wanted male and female vocalists, my music teacher friends were seriously impressed with their diversity and talent.
To top it all..... a saxophone led conga!

Totally the best money we spent on our wedding. My mum has already told some of her friends who have engaged sons and daughters that if they want the 'best night ever' .... That's a quote from our guests.... then try to get this band.

They made our night so much so we would love to do it all again!!

The Hireaband website was extremely beneficial in the process of choosing a band for our wedding. We selected The Shakers and were not disappointed. The band were absolutely fantastic. My husband and I hired The Shakers to play at our wedding reception on Saturday 10th December. Both ourselves and our guests hugely enjoyed their set and the dance floor was often packed during the night. We hired the 6 piece band option which includes a male and female singer, drummer, guitarist, keyboard player and saxophonist. It was a brilliant touch to have an additional vocalist and also a saxophonist. The band's manager (Jamie) was good at discussing with me which songs we wanted to be played on the night and also gave us helpful advice on floorfillers to select (which appeared to have the desired effect!). We will definitely be recommending this band to others. Thanks to Hireaband for helping to set all of this up.

The whole band were amazing and weeks after our wedding people are still talking about how great they were!! One of our guests requested a song they didn't know and they spent their break learning it for us!! They were so friendly and could not recommend them more!!

The Shakers were absolutely brilliant! Our crowd needed a little bit of encouragement to get dancing so the shakers decided to do a ceilidh which got everyone dancing and after that the dance floor was full! The saxophonist was particularly good, he led a conga line out into the venues garden whilst still playing. The band were all really friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

We hired The Shakers for our wedding and they helped to make our day fantastic. My husband and I had spent a long time trying to choose between having a ceilidh or a cover band, so we were delighted when The Shakers offered to provide us with a live ceilidh for the first hour of the evening before moving on to covers. Can't fault Hireaband one bit. It was so easy booking the band for my wedding through you, I received the contract straightaway and it was a great weight off my mind knowing that the band were secured. It also was really easy to contact anyone at the office, as i needed duplicate copies of the contract and this wasn't a problem, it was also great being put in touch direct with the band as we met up with them a few weeks before to see them play. The Shakers were FANTASTIC, can't thank them enough for making the night such a success, the dance floor was packed all night and they agreed to play on for an extra 1/2 hour.
