Simon Atkinson & The Ben Marcato Trio offer their own stylish interpretations of songs made famous by the great ‘crooners’ Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra. A combination of Timeless Jazz, Swing and Blues standards All delivered with the smooth class and sophistication for which the band is deservedly popular. Following a sell out appearance at the 2005 Ayr Jazz Festival, The Ayrshire Post described the combo as ‘ The Coolest Jazz and Swing of The Rat Pack Era plus Some great surprises!’
 
Simon Atkinson, A vocalist with a passion for the great Jazz Standards, has performed for over 25 years with a wide variety of musicians throughout the world.  Allan Baillie, is a superb jazz pianist and musical arranger with over 40 years experience, ranging from BBC appearances, Solo Performances, Quartets and his very own 12 piece jazz orchestra in the late 80’s. Drummer Scott Mackay and exciting young bassist Doug Galbraith complete the line up of The Ben Marcato Trio
