Des McLean

Bursting onto the scene in 1999, Des Mclean has capitalised on his Glaswegian roots and launched himself upon an unsuspecting public. 

His meteoric rise to prominence on the Scottish circuit has only been bettered by success in competitions, television and radio performances, such as Beat 106, Real Radio, Chris Moyles, Radio Clyde and Forth FM. His television credits have also included warm up with Denise Van Outen, the BBC Live Floor Show and he has also been a regular on the Fred MacAuley show.

Between 2000 and 2002, Des had reached the semi finals of "So You Think You're Funny", he was a finalist in the BBC New Comedy Awards and also made his debut at the Edinburgh Fringe at the Smirnoff Underbelly with 'Des McLean Five Stars, which achieved critical acclaim and sell out shows.

On the live circuit, Des has appeared at every Comedy Club in his home country, now appearing regularly at Jongleurs.  He has also appeared at many clubs around Newcastle, Manchester Liverpool and London.
