Deke McGee is one of Scotland's top session and live saxophonists, having played the saxophone since the age of 12. He has shared the stage with acts such as Ray Charles, Buddy Guy, Van Morrison, Joe Walsh, Bill Wyman and his Rhythm Kings, Phil Guy, Bobby Parker, Odetta, Lazy Lester, George Melly and many more in a touring career that has taken him all over Europe and North America.
 
A published author on saxophone technique, he teaches the instrument and is a regular at many jazz and blues festivals as a sideman.

As leader of the BigNiteOut Horns (Nightshift's brass section), Deke has acquired a reputation for outstanding professionalism, flexibility, and customer service.

Backed by a pianist, he is a popular choice for easy listening background music at corporate events and wedding receptions - with a repertoire running to hundreds of tunes.
